A few back of a fag packet figures about last night. Ensuring survival means around £100m next year + £20 million 3rd year parachute payment if required which is not available to clubs who go down in their first season. Plus £2m per additional place that the 3 points gives us. Makes the 40 note fund seem a long time ago.

So only 2 of their fees were smaller than our largest fee (Izquierdo as Locadia wasn’t playing). I’m excluding Rashford here too.

Just goes to show what teamwork/management can do.

Wow yes the 40 note fund.

If 75000 people have whip round (so everyone at a sell out, including the away fans) chips in 40 quid, gets a mate to do the same, we would only need another 600k to buy someone on the cheap like Gross, if anyone has got any loose change lying around

A quick Google suggests yesterday was our 12th live TV game which would mean an extra £2.6m as it is £1.3m for each game over 10. Not sure if that is right but I think so. Build a TV ready stadium and they will come.

Bugger - so we've lost about £5M so far today from where we were last night!


.....and to think some people were cheering Palarse on to take £2.5M off us by beating Stoke - who couldn't have caught us anyway!
