Watching a Sky Sports stream last night and Tony was interviewed after the match.

Clearly like the rest of us he was thrilled about another season in the Premier League.

When asked how the club was going forward he stated that for the next few years the aim will be to stay in the division and no higher targets will be set.

He also said that the higher we finish the better and if we could emulate Burnley - if they make Europe (of this season) in the not too distant future or even get to a cup final he would be very pleased. But he emphasised again, the aim near term would be to remain in the Premier League.

Clearly and deservedly the man is living his sporting dream, like all of us :)

ps.. you may already know but Gross received Knockaerts Premier League Man of the Match award after Knocky was asked to present it to him during the post match interview

Just a slightly ironic comment, given your thread title. Was standing in WSL right in front of Tony, Stevie Sidwell and Red Nev. it GENUINELY looked like they’d given Tony a small box to stand on, there is no way he’s that close in height to Sidders!

Also very funny was Sidwell trying to hold it together on live TV while his chant was being sung at him.
