[Brighton] O/T: Heroes Run - raising money for Rise UK

Hi all,

Just thought to mention, I'm doing the Heroes Run this year and marching 5km in Roman armour for Rise UK. I rarely get to wear it much and thought it was a nice way of doing something. If any one you have kids who go to Hertford Juniors I'm the chap who comes in once a year to visit the Year 3s and help with their Roman themed week.

If you fancy donating it's be appreciated, would also be nice to see anyone from here if they are going. Fell free to say hi as it'd be nice to meet some of you. Here's the link btw

Good luck. How heavy is the suit? I hope you don't get any trouble with Achilles, Skamandros....................

Ha - sadly that's closer to the truth than I'd like!

The suit I'm wearing will be around 19kg in total (assuming I wear the sword too which I may not given the circumstances). The real blighter is the shield, it picks up a breeze very easily meaning it pulls you all over the place.
