I was surprised to see a full page advert in this month's Heritage Railway magazine showing that the Engineerium is for sale through a local estate agent.

I live nearby and had been hoping and expecting it to reopen sometime soon. Obviously not.

I thought they had jusy done a load of work on it. My Grandad worked there and used to live in the waterworks cottages.

Let's hope someone does something good with it - unlikely though. Has a decent garden for a beer Garden.. I'd stick £1k in for a share of it with 1000 others..

A shame for mr holland - didn't he offer to rebuild the west pier once?

It was originally due for completion in 2016 but they had that fire in 2015
