There wasn’t one this season. The youngest regular first team player is Solly March who is 23. (24 in July) He won it last year. So not exactly a competitive field.
They had a Players Player which effectively replaced it.

I don't see that 'YPotY' MUST be confined to first team players?

If the first team squad had a crop of first team regulars who were 19-22. They’d have had one. But we don’t.

Again - that needn't follow.

If amongst our U18s / U23s we have a player that is performing well in games, and progressing beyond where their age suggests, then dishing out an award would seem entirely appropriate. Its not as though it costs anything to do it.

And FWIW Molumby, Hutchinson, Connolly, Tilley and Sanders all HAVE been involved in first team squads this season.
