Well players his age do improve.

Maybe not quite good enough today. Maybe good enough this time next year.

I *suspect* the plan is for him to replace Balogun in the squad next summer, when Leon is out of contract and no doubt off to get games elsewhere.

I have a feeling his arse won't hit the ground when he returns from the African CON. He want to play first team football and will go elsewhere for it.
I am making all this up but am I.

Looks like Pontus Jannsen is OFF from Leeds ( Sheff Utd ? Burnley to replace Tarkowski ? ) so there will be more chances for White there.

Brentford. For £5.5million, apparently. Mental - but he had fallen out with Bielsa, according to the vocal Leeds fan in a football group I'm part of. Very good news for Ben White.

Yes, you are. He’s 31 and probably knew when he joined that the chances of displacing Dunk or Duffy were low. He is however earning a very tidy wage (probably the highest of his career) to act as the experienced back-up defender that you can rely on to do a job when needed at this level due to injuries and inevitable suspensions in that position.

I agree. The lack of involvement in the matchday squad, on top of the arrival of MC makes his opportunity for playing time look painfully slim. Even if we do start playing three at the back (which I don't think we will...) he will be no higher in the pecking order. With a lack of pre-season as well I'd imagine we'll be waving goodbye to LB.

And, briefly, to Bristol City!

Correct, bloke I work with is a season ticket holder at City and hopes we never send another centre back their way after Dunks brief loan spell and El Abd, both with glowing referances from myself at the time. Cheers LADS.
