brighton, actually
more scorers, tighter defence / aggresive midfield to link it all up.

Unlikely, but I reckon Wilfred Zaha would be an ace signing, Some of our players seem to hesitate, when they get near the box..?

top scorer from any team that gets relegated would be a good buy..

What’s it called? Cumbernauld
There’s a fair few players out of contract in the summer that’ll need replacing and if we want to progress we need to strengthen simple as that. And the general quality will need to be constantly upped to keep on par with everyone else both fb positions will need better cover cm too also number 10 rw and cf will all need strengthening

Every position on the pitch except for GK will be looked at I suspect. Lots of changes this summer especially with the number of players out of contract that are likely to be surplus to requirements

Out of contract, to be replaced :

Maenpaa
Rosenior
Huenemeier
Sidwell
( New contract for Krul )

Under contract, significant chance of sale :

Hemed
Baldock
Skalak
(Norwood)
(Towell)

That's enough to be getting on with for now.

Quite. 9 players going out would give lots of scope for improving the squad.

Saturday reminded us, after a few weeks of delusion, how much we miss a striker (or two). Must be a very exciting time for the recruitment team.

A fact many posters need to be reminded of when they try to offload AK, Solly, Dunk, Kayal et al.

Agreed, Unless someone goes to the manager and ask to leave, then replacing those players out of contract and out on loan will be more than enough turnover for the summer.

There's a LOT of presumption in this thread!

The recruitment team are unfortunately still working with two lists.

Presumption, yes. But you have to project a positive outcome to this season, otherwise it's a tailspin to insanity.

It amazes me how infrequently the need for central midfielders comes up in these discussions..
And yet here we are with just 2 eligible to play for the next 3 games, one of which has just returned from injury.
I was really surprised there wasn't cover brought in during the January window.

Do we really need a new striker more than we need cover in midfield??

Yes, unless you're happy to start next season with 1 1/2 strikers.

Agree with this. These players have served us well but obviously we would like to improve. A couple of top quality players in any position would obviously help. Another forward and centre mid are a must though.

You cannot presume though - in the name of positivity or anything else. Players will be looking for answers we are not able to give them. Good pros like Rosenior, or Hunemaier will be asking where they stand. If we stay up, they are surely no longer required. If we go down, you'd want them both around next season.

Agree entirely, and no - we don't.

Yes, unless you're happy to start next season with 1 1/2 strikers.

Hemed, Murray, Baldock and Locadia are all under contract beyond this season

I'll go and get Shaqiri from Stoke and personally drive him down here if they go down, which is likely.

We will need to invest in some areas but even keeping the core squad we have now, given a complete pre-season and new sense of belonging I think we would see a slight improvement.

Shame that BFG can't get more game time. I really rate him highly. Great pro too. Never let us down, (ok, one bad game at Lincoln!)

Do you believe that'll be the pool of strikers available to CH at 5pm on 09.08.18?

No.

But that wasn't the question.

Do you think the pool of CM available to him on that date, will be just Kayal, Stephens and Propper?

Which pool do you think is more essential to add to?
