In the good old days it was quite common for somewhat understated celebrations....often just a few handshakes and pats on the back then jog back to the re-start. Now it seems even the lowliest goal in even the most meaning less matches requires a steaming run to a corner flag with fist pumping, shirt waving, badge kissing and gurning.
Ironically, the 70's with violence on the terraces and thugs playing (Hunter, Dray, Bham and Pompey teams), was the decade when players started kissing and rolling around with each other in celebrating goals.
