Love the fact that Sergei Skripl was once the Soviet Cultural and Sports Attache to the Maltese Embassy. This moniker was always a euphemism for SPY.

What are the other great euphemisms of modern time?

Private Eye has had some great one over the years, my two favourites being:

Discussing Ugandan affairs = having illicit sex with someone while supposedly conducting important, official, business.
