"Brighton are my '2nd' team, most local to my village. Watched them a lot as a teenager when they stormed through the divisions."
There's 3 things to learn from this:
1. Everything, including football teams, is geographically located around his village. It's almost as if the world revolves around him.
2. It's fortunate for Piers that Twitter wasn't around when we were at Gillingham. He'd have had to choose another team.
3. It's always been possible for someone to watch a football team without ever truly supporting them.
