Apart from Arnautovic, I can't think of many Austrian strikers who are better than Barnes. Any in the Bundesliga? Hans Krankl was the last world-class striker for Austria decades ago.

I think it was him who was linked with an audacious bid from us around 1979/80. Possibly when he was back on loan in Austria. Nothing came of it.
