So 12th place, 31 points, 10 games to go.

Our last 10 games, however, do include playing 8 of the current top 9 teams (4 home, 4 away) with Chelsea the only exclusion.

Realistically how many points are we going to take from these? It seems to be a tall order to get as many points as there are games, BUT, I am hopeful that we can upset a big team and 9th place Everton are only 3 points above us. Are there 2 or 3 games in these 8 fixtures that we can say, 'yeah we have a good chance there, must win'.

04/03/18 - Arsenal (H) - 6th position.
10/03/18 - Everton (A) - 9th position.
31/03/18 - Leicester (H) - 8th position.
07/04/18 - Huddersfield (H) - 14th position.
14/04/18 - Palace (A) - 17th position. (mind the gap)
20/04/18 - Tottenham (H) 4th position. - Potentially being moved due to FA Cup.
28/04/18 - Burnley (A) 7th position.
05/05/18 - Manchester United (H) - 2nd position.
13/05/18 - Liverpool (A) - 3rd position.

NOTE: Man City (A) to be rescheduled as one of us made it into the FA Cup QF, probable date would be the week after or on the Spurs game date depending on progression in FA cup. Also Man U (A) in the FA cup on 18/03/18.

Right, so the questions are, how many points in realistic in this 10 game run? And will it be enough to stay up? - Bear in mind we have only taken 3 points from these 10 teams when we played the reverse fixtures.

I reckon 8 points is realistic from those games, hopefully enough to stay up.

Nothing from the 2 Manchester clubs, Spurs or Liverpool. If we are at our best points could be potentially won in the other 6 games. Optimistic of 8, Hudds/Leicester wins at home and 2 points from Arsenal/Burnley/Palace/Everton

Good for running some experiments. Assume we lose all games against top 6, pick up a home win against Hudds, and a couple of draws, we get to 36. Let's for a the moment ignore teams ahead of us and assume they finish ahead regardless. Looking at the teams behind us, and assuming they do equally badly against top 6 opposition, I don't see how 6 of those teams can jump ahead given they'll be taking points off each other along the way. I suspect this season that a relatively low total of 35 or 36 points would be enough for survival.

League table doesn't take form into account. Burnley and Leicester aren't looking great at the moment, I'm more worried about playing Huddersfield than those two because Hudersfields' pressing style doesn't seem to suit us.

Even if we can get a couple of draws against the big teams we should be alright. We're in decent form and the additions of Ulloa and Locadia plus Izquierdo looking like a £14m player are all huge factors that we didn't have in the first half of the season when we threw away some silly points.

I had us down for 41 points after doing predictor. That’ll do me. I can sleep easier now.

Interesting that those who offered an opinion of the Burnley result think we’ll lose, with one optimistic draw vote. They have 3 points from their last 6 matches. Those matches included Swansea, Palace, Newcastle & SCC - carry on like that, we should be looking for all 3 points from them

I've no idea about which matches we'll do well in, and which ones won 't go to plan - so, no individual match predictions. Overall though, I think we'll do a bit better than that.

im assuming we will only pick up 4 points with the last games of the season to go (so i challenge the boys to prove me wrong pleeeeeeaase ) - baggies already down, stoke and swansea 3 points behind us and since they both cant win the last game with a 10 goal swing as they play eachother we will survive just.....
