Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s host Exeter City in a Premier League Cup match at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre tonight, kick-off 7pm.

Simon Rusk’s side head into the game on a six-match winning run in all competitions, and know that another win tonight will guarantee them a place in the knockout stages of the tournament.

The Seagulls currently sit second in Group H with nine points from their five games so far, one point and one place below tonight’s opponents.

Albion’s three wins in the competition have come in the form of 3-1 and 5-0 victories over Sunderland, and a 3-2 win away at Hull City.

I realise you copy and pasted this from the official site, but Albion have already qualified for the knockout stages (as your pasted table clearly shows). The result tonight will merely determine which team finishes first and second.

Great to see Ben Barclay on the teamsheet for his first appearance of the season after being out for 6 months with injury.

Youngster Max Sanders captains the side again.

Are there any that are looking likely to be promoted to the 25 man squad for next season.
I think most are young enough not to have to be nominated in the squad.

Mateju will be over 21 next season, not sure if any others will be.

Is Will Collar just not in the squad at the moment or injured?
