Brighton play against Oxford in the Womens Super League this evening - 7.45pm at Culver Road, Lancing. Tickets can be purchased on the gate, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s/over-65s.

Oxford come into the game on the back of a poor run, having won 1 and lost 4 of their previous 5 games. Albions record for the same period is 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss and we are currently 5 points ahead of them in the league with a game in hand. We really need the win this evening in order to start catching Doncaster Belles who lead the league with 10 more points than Albion although they have played 2 games more.

In other good news for the Womens team Imi Umotong has been called up to the Nigerian team : https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/2018/february/umotong-earns-nigeria-call-up/

Hope to see a good crowd there tonight! UTA!! :bhasign::albion2:

After a bit of a scare when Oxford got one back to make it 2-1, Albion went on to win quite easily 5-1. The scoring was started off by Natkiel early on with a looping long range effort, Umotong got her reward for tirelessly chasing forward without much service, and Whelan scored a hattrick with the last one being a very well taken shot after some neat interplay with Umotong. Oxford always looked dangerous on the break and from setplays, and the Albion didn't always help themselves with some sloppy play at times but a good win in freezing conditions. Well done to the over 300 who turned up to support the players and especially to the group who chanted for the Albion almost the whole match - including the 'its ****ing freezing' chant! :D

UTA!

Some of the NSK. Their first match, apparently.
