In another thread there is mention of being 'NSC fluent', which led to Shropshire Seagull relating this story:

Re NSC lingo at work:
In a team meeting a few years back, I yelled "Fixtures FFS" when someone asked a question that had already been answered.
Everyone in the room gave me an odd-look and I really couldn't be bothered to explain .... retorting quickly to "Moving on ...."

Not long ago most of my team all received new smartphones. I immediately asked if they were Omsung Phines, to general bewilderment.

I'm sure many have done something similar - any other examples?

I've muttered the phrase 'excuse if fixtures' under my breath at work before, but never let it out loud. Is 'Fixtures' a pure NSC term?

No. I don't understand half of the NSC talk anyway.

I took my Pompey supporting mate to a game and told him, “We’re loose”.

He thought it was due to the previous nights beer and curry.

I just left it...... couldn’t go there really.

The other day at the morning work meeting I said one "spoke" more often than Ben's Granddad.

I sometimes TEXT random words in CAPITAL LETTERS for COMEDIC effect, which I have picked up from here I am ASHAMED TO SAY

What I ENJOY is how SERIOUSLY some people TAKE this phenomenon.
