[Travel] Driving to Stoke

Will be well on the way by then, probably leaving Burgess Hill by 8.30......stop for a late breakfast around Brum.

If you can hang on until Cannock there was (and by all accounts still is but refurbished from my truck driving days) an excellent truck stop on the A5 heading towards Cannock. Proper home-cooked meals and excellent value. It's about a mile or so down the A5 on the left. Just a short skip to Stoke from there.

I'm a Port Vale fan and will be rooting for you guys tomorrow against the lardies (as we call them at Vale). I would definitely go with the M1 and A50. The A50 is a good road and goes straight to the Shitannia Stadium.
Where is the best place to park?

In Stoke ?

I didn’t think the pies up there were that bad :moo:

This is embarrassing. I thought the thread title was about stroke. I have a personal issue with stroke--my mother--and I'm always quick to point out the signs which people should be very aware of and if I had been...........well, it might have been a different outcome.
