Saw the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra a year or two back at The Dome and it was an evening of Sci Fi/ Adventure film themes, it was hard to beat the Star Wars theme with a full orchestra I can tell you !

If you listen to some parts of Holst and The Planets you can hear the influence that John Williams must have felt for Close Encounters. Not knocking it mind as that’s a ground soundtrack and my favourite Spielberg film.
