There is an article on the back page of the Sports section of today's Times entitled "Tough times for us Mike Dean Fans". Does anyone on here know of any such fan?

He got Middlesbrough to the PL, and helped Spurs out when needed I think.

Does 'tough times' refer to video refereeing, or just the fact the people are getting wise to how ****ing shit he is?

Tough times seems to refer, in a tongue in cheek way, tot he difficulties fans now have in getting into grounds to watch their favourite referees in action. Seems that "The Chosen One" lamented that there wasn't a third set of supporters for M... D..., the referee. Guess he must have doe Manure some favours.
