Do I need to “upgrade” or similar an u18 ticket for it to be used by an oap?

I don't know, but I think people on here have said there is a concession light on the stewards side of the turnstile. If there's just the one concession light I would guess no, but probably safest to go to the ticket office.

I think one light just shows all concessions so I doubt you would need to, ifs there a price difference

Yes you do. U21 & OAP are the same price but U18 is cheaper than OAP so upgrade needed.

I believe there are four light configurations, 1) Adult, 2) U10, 3) U18, 4) OAP/U21. Apparently when the system was set up there was no U21 ticket so when introduced it lights up as OAP.

It used to be one light for all concessions. This changed to 4 or so different lights (flashes colours different etc!) in the last season or 2 - I assume to to people taking the piss.

How about the other way around? An U18 using an OAP ticket? Assuming this would be OK as it doesn't cost more but with the different lights lighting up??
