Because its a catholic caatherdral not cofe and a city is a city because it is granted a chater as a city by the monarch.

Also depends on size of town as well. St Asaph in North Wales also has a cathedral but is only technically a village.

thats all there is to this really. it just happens that historically if you had a catherdral you tended to get the city charter.

Actually, there is an explanation for this.
Chicken Pox can actually make some humans shit out eggs. The eggs have been known to hatch into chicks, hence where the name Chicken Pox came from.
