We've got a bit more on the whole than that Boro team had but we're on a similar trajectory, yes

Funny as I thought exactly that a few minutes ago. We look ponderous, predictable and zero goal threat... just like those boys from the riverside did last year..

They had Alvaro Negredo and still chose to be negative, shame on them, at least with got thoroughly limited striking options.

But yes, we’re defending our way to the Championship.

Yes and they’ll probably embarrass us in the cup too

We are trying to do Premier League survival on the cheap and it doesn’t work.

Given how hard we fought to get here I would have hoped we would give it more of a go but it’s nearly too late now.

What's needed is a few more threads on exactly the same subject.

Are you good to start them please? I need to get out, get drunk and try to avoid topping myself when Papa Lazarou gets on one.

Seems that way. Far too negative. Don't entirely blame Hughton he has limited options but the set up is down to him.

Yes we are. Way too negative, I think the players have forgotten how to press and attack as their mindset has been programmed to defend CH. He needs to remove the shackles

Are we "doing a Boro"?

We are dropping points for two clear reasons:

1. How we are defending corners.

2. Inability to score enough goals on the break where pace is needed due to slow players like Murray, Groß & Hemed.

I trust CH and the club to have this fully resolved by February.

If we don't make some damn good offensive signings very soon then we will be in trouble, It won't be "doing a boro" it will be doing worse than a boro.

Are we? We spent round about 35 million in the summer. Not sure that’s hugely cheap.
