Comedy actress Bella Emberg has sadly passed away.

British comedy actress Bella Emberg - best known for her role in The Russ Abbot Show - has died, aged 80.

One of her most memorable characters was Blunder Woman, the comic sidekick of the hapless superhero, Cooperman.

Emberg also appeared on The Benny Hill Show, Z Cars, and Doctor Who.

Her agent said she would be "greatly missed", while friend and pianist Bobby Crush described her as a "truly gentle soul".

The "funniest fairy", comedy actor Paul Chuckle said.

He took me to my first Albion game, and is not very well himself.

She got me all the stars autographs including Russ, back in the day.

Yes, a Portslade girl - my Dad was still in touch and heard from her at Christmas. I believe she was still working quite recently. R.I.P.

RIP. I used to love her on the Russ Abbot show. Very funny.

This. She obviously did not take her looks/size seriously and put herself front and centre for comedic purposes. That can only be admired by someone who did not know her.
