From England and Man City’s number one goalkeeper to West Ham’s reserve and cup team goalkeeper in the space of 18 months. Sad to see.

Still think he is one of our best goalkeepers and I’d like to see him get a number one spot somewhere so he can compete for his England place.

So low in the pecking order at West Ham he doesn't have his own cap an had to borrow one from the crowd

A good indication of where his mindset is. Low sun at a small stadium, shouldn’t really be a surprise. Surely he would have noticed in the warm up?

The design of a modern stadium. Most new grounds are built with where the sun will be at normal 3pm kick off in mind. Most try to make sure it's behind the main stand so it casts less of a shadow on the pitch. It's certainly the case with how the Amex was built.

You dont very often see keepers wearing caps nowadays where it used to be common..

Disappeared about the same time as wing halves, leather footballs, wooden boxes for kids to stand on and a savage assault on the opposition's centre forward in the first few minutes of the game 'just to let him know you're there', didn't they?

Unfortunately I believe your right.

There really isn't a lot of choice, apart from Hart and Pickford most other senior English keepers are injured or been dropped for being shit (certainly true in the case of Fraser Forster at Southampton).

Heaton has been injured for a majority of the season, Butland is possibly the next most likely to be called up, he missed the Germany and Brazil squads after breaking a finger. Angus Gunn, son of Bryan Gunn, was called up despite only a half season of senior appearances with Norwich. At this rate Christian Walton will be in the running for the World Cup Squad, at least he's in form.

Pope from Burnley maybe? He’s been very good.
