To be fair, in most games it’s a nailed on yellow and perhaps he’ll get one retrospectively anyway, but refs do seem to let a bit more go in derbies.

Obviously should have been booked for that incident - but the penalty he conceded just prior was never a penalty in a million years.

Never a penalty. Since then though Holgate has been a liability for his team.

And Holgate is fluent in Portuguese apparently, so would understand the insult presumably.

Meanwhile, Rooney taken off for hotheadedness. Smart move there I think.
