Ryan - 7 - a couple of really decent saves but I can’t help thinking his lack of dominance of his box is causing our weakness at defending corners
Schletto - 7 - some great moments of skill. Supported AK well on the overlap. Nearly gave away a needless penalty for a blatant shove in the back. MOTM?? You’re having a laugh
Suttner - 6 - okay defensively but poor deliveries on several occasions
Duffy - 7 - great ball to start the move for the first goal. Not as dominant as he can be
Dunk - 8 - superb again
Stephens - 6 - looked understandably knackered. Why didn’t hughton bring on Kayal?
Propper - 7 - amazing lung busting run into the box for izqerdo’s one on one. Loved the double foul too.
Izqerdo - 9 - brilliant, just brilliant. He terrified Bournemouth, got two assists and nearly got a third himself. It looked like his penultimate touch was a bit heavy, or he got a bobble. It happens. MOTM
Gros - 7 - typical Gros, covering every blade of grass again
Knockaert - 8 - superb today. Great finish for the goal, wanted the ball all the time and even roused the crowd
Murray - 7 - marked up for his goal. A decent centre forwards display but was running on empty. Why no Hemed?

Bruno - 6

Hughton -6 - got the team selection spot on, but fresh legs might have seen us home

Good assessment of Hughton today. Howe’s subs gave them the energy to push on and get the equaliser - and they could very well have gone on to win the game.

So frustrating that he is so reluctant to make the changes we so obviously need on certain occasions.

Agree with all apart from Murray who laid in our box with f@@k all wrong with him playing them on side and not contributing to the defence- 3

Why the 6s for Murray? Won so many headers. Took his goal brilliantly. Really good energy and some superb lay offs.

And feigned injury playing them onside when they scored their 2nd.

Ryan 8 lots of good saves. Little he could do about either goal.
Schelotto 7 a mixed bag of a performance but probably more good than bad. Some good defending, some rampaging runs that led no where, some strange use of the ball.
Duffy 5 started brilliantly on the ball, like he’d been learning from Dunk and Goldson, but caught out for both goals and was a defensive weakness again. I do wonder what he has to do to lose his place to Goldon or Uwe. To top it off, missed his obligatory glorious chance from a corner.
Dunk 7 not as commanding as usual. Looked much more assured with Goldson next to him. Neither goal was really his fault mind.
Suttner 7 a decent performance but a few too many crosses were wayward.
Knockaert 8 got his goal and good defensively. His best performance of the season for me.
Stephens 6 a mixed bag. Decent passing but gave away what felt like a few fouls in bad areas.
Propper 7 better offensively than his partner. Made a big mistake for their equalising goal.
Izquierdo 8 two assists, decent defensively, and always an attacking danger. Missed two cracking chances though and clearly tired towards the end and we suffered as a result.
Gross 7 probably a poor performance statistically, but everything good offensively went through him.
Murray 8 got his goal, won a lot in the air, worked hard defensively. A very good performance that was let down by his work For their first goal.

Subs
Bruno 5 not an ideal introduction at not an ideal time.
Brown N/A

ryan 7 really needs to help his defence out when defending set pieces. Seldom comes for crosses, imo, which should be a big concern.
Schellotto 8
Suttner 6 poor crossing when well placed to deliver
Dunk 7
Duffy 5 rarely give him a bad mark, but had a game to forget. Out jumped twice in a minute by cook. poor
knockhaert 7
izquierdo 8 would have been 9 but for a really bad miss when should have scored.
Propper 6
Stephens 6

Ryan - 8 - faultless for either goal and some excellent stops. Great with both feet also. Think he's just brilliant;

Schellotto - 8 - Got better and better and more confident as the game went on. Shame he went off;
Dunk - 7 - Solid;
Duffy - 6 - Ok but at fault for their first goal (not for the first time this season) and should have scored;
Suttner - 7 - Decent;

Stephens - 6 - Ok but still not enough of a threat going forward;
Propper - 7 - Marginally better than Stephens;
Knockaert - 7 - Ok, extra point for the goal;
Izquierdo - 9 - MOM. Absolutely superb all game, did not stop running;

Gross - 8 - Class. What a signing;
Murray - 7 - Decent game and a goal.

Often languishing on the wing when required in the centre. Should have been subbed at 60 mins as he was shattered at that point.

Not poor, but average seems right IMO.

Ryan - 7. Some good saves and excellent distribution. No fault for either goal
Schelleto - 7.5. Really excellent going forward and some good defensive moments. Doesn't read the game like Bruno, but who does?
Dunk - 6.5 Not as good as recent games but another strong performance.
Duffy - 5 A couple of great passes in the first half. Nowhere near his commanding best, Goldson will be pushing him for his place if he's not careful.
Suttner - 7 a superb first half, but less so in the second.
Knockaert - 8 his best performance of the season so far. A joy to behold
Proper - 6.5. Some good some bad.
Stephens - 6.5. Same as above
Izquierdo - 9 MOTM - incredibly good. First time we've played to his strengths, IMO. Shame he missed the sitter, but still excellent overall performance
Gross - 8 excellent again. some of his flicks to release Izquierdo were sublime.
Murray -8. Great performance. Good to see him celebrate scoring against his old club, hopefully he will get another chance to before the season is out.

Bruno 5 - shame he had to come on, wasn't up to the pace of the game.
Brown N/A. - Why the **** did Hughton decide to take off Gross when we had a free kick? Gave BMuff more time to get organised, took away our best dead ball expert, and gave Gross a whole 6 minutes rest. Bizarre decision.

Fiveways
Ryan 8
Schelotto 7
Duffy 6 -- a couple of brilliant long-range passes, including for the first goal, but I still think he's a tad suspect and Connor deserves a run
Dunk 7
Suttner 6 -- passing and crossing not at his normal best
Knockaert 8 -- livewire
Stephens 6 -- gave away too many fouls
Propper 7 -- started brilliantly but faded
Izqueirdo 9 MotM -- his best game by far, but should have come off after about 70 minutes, as he looked knackered
Gross 8 -- such a clever player
Murray 6

Bruno 5 -- poor by his standards, wafting his leg around

CH 5 -- contributed to an exciting game, but there are now two glaring problems. First, set pieces and especially corners. The rot needs to stop with a matter or urgency. Second, (non-)substitutions, he must be the only person that doesn't see it.

I’d agree with this apart from Gross who deserves an 8 for his involvement in all of our best attacking moves.
