What is a Douglas DC-3 doing in England in 1940? Hope there aren't further technical howlers such as those that blighted Dunkirk.

I think we used the ones the Dutch had.
They won't be mistakes. The technical expertise on these films is watertight. If they ahve the wrong plane in the wrong era then it will have been a deliberate decision by someone. I suppose though, if that annoys one, then it grates.

Maybe it was a KLM owned DC-3, they were operating them before the war broke out.
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain or Dakota (RAF designation) is a military transport aircraft developed from the civilian Douglas DC-3 airliner. It was used extensively by the Allies during World War II and remains in front line service with various military operators.
