Suggest you listen to The Albion Roar from a few weeks ago with John Morling, head of the Albion Academy, to ascertain how this system works with regard for getting youth players to train with the first team.

Molumby has had a certain amount of time training with the first team squad.
As John Morling said after the show, he won't get a place in the first team (even though he already has had one - suspect he means in the PL) until Chris Hughton totally trusts him to do all the on-pitch tasks he asks him to do. And that takes a fair few training sessions - JM suggested at least 30-40 before being considered for the first team.
And he wasn't too shabby against Barnet.

Molumby has a great chance if given time to develop at a natural rate.
Plenty of others could do it in the Championship within the next couple of years is what the vast majority were hired to do at the time.

Can't say Izzy Brown is ready yet and he came through the Chelsea set up.
I know things were said to you, but that just isnt how it works, after a young player might get recommended to CH from within the Academy there then isnt any real 'set number' of training sessions before consideration for the first team squad or starting team.
It might take your allocated 30-40 sessions or only 10 sessions, it just needs to be a number to satisfy CH personal view on that player to either involve him or not.

Dean Wilkins would be superb, I think. Not sure what he's up to these days.
I know Wilkins through a mutual friend, if as we are told by many ex players senior and otherwise he is as good as you can get for developing young players then it seems an obvious choice, he is currently free and lives a stones throw from the Academy.
I suspect there might be some hesitancy from those already managing the set up, the insecurities of their own positions usually blocks recruiting someone that might be seen as threat, its a common problem within football, similarly they might work very well together and share a common ethos who knows but it requires a leap of faith from the Academy management or more likely a phone call from Bloom or Hughton.
I suspect it would be of great benefit to those youngsters coming through which really should be the priority.

No, if they were good enough they’d have started to come through by now, surely? Of course the Academy themselves and the club are going to big it up but until we actually see the fruits on a Premier League pitch in blue and white stripes ( or yellow or whatever), they are not ready.
One or two appearances in a cup game against a League 2 side is hardly a ringing endorsement that any of them are anywhere near ready?
Will love it, if and when it happens. Hopefully they’ll manage to end the curse of being unable to produce a decent striker in decades...if ever.

The only real way is to throw them in at the deep end if you feel they are ready and see if they should no or swim
