On radio Sussex after the match WA said Jonjo Shelvey is unhappy at Newcastle & wants to leave, assume he has inside info as haven't seen anything elsewhere. Also said he is exactly the sort of player we need although he thought they may be unwilling to sell to us, assuming he'd even want to come.
Yes on his day he runs the midfield & has excellent passing ability but IMHO he's a sending off waiting to happen every match so too much of a liability.

he does have ability he squanders through poor disipline and attitude. think it safe to say not the type of person Hughton would want and he'd expect to move to somewhere more high profile than Brighton.

He's one of those player's you can't stand but secretly wouldn't mind seeing in your colours. On balance, swerve.

Creative ability from midfield - yes

Defensive ability from midfield - No

Always half asleep to the runner from oppositions midfield.

I always think Newcastle are a much better team with Shelvey in it, so agree with Aspinal it would strengthen us and weaken them.

Would love to see him at the Albion

He is the type of player we need but whether actually him is another matter. In his defence his cards come from playing as a DM which if we had him wouldnt happen as he would be played further forward one would hope.

I would still like to see Propper given ago in that more forward role. He's proved that he can play it as he has done successfully for both PSV and the Dutch national team. What we are lacking in midfield is a typical enforcer, would love it if our scouting department could do what Leicester did and unearth a player in the mould of N'Golo Kante.

I wouldnt argue with that an updated better version of Liam Bridcutt.

Was having a similar discussion watching Knocky yesterday.....if he played for anyone else we’d be screaming at the diving, petulant ****er. But he’s ours. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji16]

Absolutely NO.

Already had 2 red cards this season which just shows what a liability he would be.

Far better for him to go to Celtic where Brendan can bring the best out of him
