Where is everyone watching the big game tomorrow? Got to be honest I’ve already got a few butterflies in my stomach but after reaching the final whatever happens tomorrow the England team will arrive home as heroes ending 25 years of Semi Final hurt.

We’ve got Polly and Giles down for the weekend but Giles and I are going down the Ship to watch it. Landlord has promised 10% off Carling Black Label if England win and 5% off Fosters if the Aussies win, so everyone will be a winner!!

Now I know you are on a wind up. No-one called Giles watches Rugby League. Giles watches Union and plays spunk on the biscuit.

If you were going with Gary for a half chips half rice Curry and a pint of mild (Black label went years ago) it would be more realistic.

Polly and Giles spend a LOT of time down at yours, Crodo. They must be great company. As an aside, where have the 'Most famous supporter' threads gone? Maybe a bit less socialising with P&G would give you the time to research them for the rest of the season...

In answer to your question, I probably won't be watching the match. Might listen to a bit on the radio while in the car though – if it's on

Hardly big Rugby League territory is Dorset, amazed the Ship Inn will be open at 8am, shame about Sean O'Loughlin.

I will be watching somewhere in St Peters Port if I can find a pub showing it, but I think it will end up watching it at my brothers.

You’d be surprised, it’s really captured the locals imagination, even the butchers has got a Union Jack in the window this morning. I reckon there will be 30-40 in tomorrow.

First time that i knew that there was even a World Cup Final taking place this weekend was on the radio at lunchtime, when they were discussing how little attention this tournament has been getting in the media (both via social and traditional)

Even after that, and your post, i still don't know what time it's on, and which channel will be showing it live on tv for people to be able to watch

Ah, if only your butcher were right. Sadly it's only England tomorrow as the RL authorities, in a misguided attempt to try and 'prove' that RL is a British sport (as opposed to just the north of England) have split our tiny, tiny talent pool over THREE teams!

Our local whippet racing club are doing a breakfast special: two bits of black pudding and bread and dripping for only 50p! Might take the kids there as it'll save cooking breakfast.

30-40 in the butchers? Why has he got a Union Flag flying? It's England not GB.

I don’t know, I think it’s all he had but go back 25 years and it’s all you used to see at England sporting occasions.

It's like calling stoolball a national sport. Rugby league is for whippets owning flat capped northerners

What a joke tournament. Only 3 small areas in the world give a shit:

1. The north of England.
2. NSW / Queensland in Oz.
3. Cannibal islands.

Not even all the north. Liverpool is Rugby Union all the way. That was something that surprised me when I lived there. I bet there are are other areas as well that couldn't give a fig.
