Don't get me wrong, there must be many things that the Albion need to learn and improve on after tonight, but let's not pretend that the Palace fans, as a group, have somehow been the victim here. As a group, they clearly contain many people who don't give a toss about their fellow fans. And tonight some of those fellow fans suffered as a result.

"Obviously held back after the game and bumped into an old friend who likes to dress in black etc. He got in without a ticket, without being searched and explained how they got in on mass by some of them distracting the stewards and just going for it. HF or chancers , make your own minds up.

Questioned the rationale of letting of flares when we we take a corner, the answer was that they weren't meant to do that, it was meant to put there players off ???"

"Only people to blame tonight are the HF. Stormed the palace stewards who done a fantastic job of guiding us in and making us feel welcome after dealing with adject policing. There was about 8 Palace staff who were dragged into a melee and was taking a barrage of shit from the HF before the police and those suited up took over. Fair play to them for standing as strong as they did against a good 50+ HF and associates

And what one of the mongs deemed it clever to pop of a banger when we are taking a corner ffs"

"the fanatics were responsible for disorder tonight which meant genuine palace fans were not allowed to see their team after looking forward to it after the fixtures were announced.

I do begin to worry that in the long run these people will end up with something drastic happening at selhurst e.g a home game which is played behind closed doors. A long way off but with all the regular rubbish enough is enough."

Its not really worth the hassle is it.

If we are both playing in the same division next season, then I'd be all in favour of a complete away fan ban. Just cannot be arsed with all this shit, it really just IS NOT worth it. I don't want these cretins anywhere near the Amex next season. By many accounts on the BBS, many of their "decent" fans have had a proper shit time of it as well tonight, some not even able to get into the ground thanks to the actions of some utter, utter fvcktards in their numbers.

Bollocks to it. Ban Palace fans from the Amex. They can reciprocate for Selhurst, its a shit day out anyway. Make do with beambacks and keep that filth off our streets and away from our stadium.

"People taking Fireworks/bangers into a game are quite frankly bellends. Serves no purpose whatsoever. Have beer, sing, jump about with your mates all game.. but bangers? Don’t get it.

And for those that jumped the turnstiles ssn stopped genuine fans from seeing them game.. you are wankers. Hope they ban you."

"Obviously the usual bangs and smoke bombs, not even surprised any more - stewards do nothing about it - 'we can't go in when there's pyro' they said.

After the game had a good wander around the seats with all the time to kill. There were loads of the used smoke bombs all over the floor near the front. A bout the size of a lipstick, but the quantity was crazy."

"Anyone surprised that a group dressed to cover their faces and always pushing away cameras aimed in their direction are the ones acting like twats and causing trouble.

The same group that marched down a residential street late at night similarly dressed setting off fireworks and bangers shouting threatening and abusive crap a couple of years ago...

Getting sick of this and the club's pandering to them now to the point I'm not sure I want to be associated with it."

"The group dressed in black moved behind the goal after the start of the game forcing all the people who were there out the seats - including older people - so they could stand on the seats, hold their banner and let off pyros. I don't see how that adds to the overall support, they are just doing their own thing."

"Ashamed to be Palace tonight

Ticketless fans rushing the gates so genuine fans end up locked out, vanadalism at the station, destruction of Artwork and general yobbishness - and we have the cheek to call Millwall scum!

Some will no doubt revel at how "hard" we are - well let's see them do the same next year if we go down when the knuckle draggers from the den turn up."

Palace do have a lot to answer for. Similar comments on both their forums.

They appear to officially have a hooligan problem.

Sadly ruined it for a lot of their fans.

"He got herded back to Brighton, then a Palace fan ( more like a **** really ) hit him thinking he was the Weed..

Heard a geezer at halftime ( not HF,well not in black ) boasting about how he and some of his mates got in without tickets, when they rushed the turnstiles."
