I heard a rumour that after their incredible feat of being the worst performing team in 2016, Palace were on track to repeat the feat in 2017.

Does anyone know if this is true?
If so, where would one be able to locate the relevant table?

Hope this thread doesn’t come back to bite us on the bum after Tuesday’s game

It is fairly unusual that this close to the game, that NSC isn't swarming with them....
They will be out in force if the worse case scenario happens....

However the amount of points they have achieved in 2017 will still not be something they will have over us.

It is one of the things that irks me about Palace.
There is a very common point of view that Palace have a squad that should not be in a relegation fight.
I've heard it from various pundits and the like.

And yet for two years solid they have achieved less than a point per game.

I know Palace's achievement is connected to calendar years and not playing seasons but the "less than a point per game without being relegated" thing is significant.

People keep going on about us needing 40 points but in fact 37 points (especially with the GD factor) is very, very likely to be enough.

The bedsheets of Sussex are going through a dry patch but a time will come when aiming at 37 rather than 40 will feel much more encouraging.
