Very sad, far too young.

Never forget, back in the 90s or whatever was walking along the seafront by West Street and there she was, strolling along in her trackie. It was during one of those tournaments in the Centre.

We exchanged a nod, and a smile.

I'd like to think she always remembered that.

RIP

Terrible to die so young.

Won't forget her crying on the shoulder of The Duchess of Kent following a Wimbledon final after she blew a big lead to Steffi Graf. Glad she finally won it in 1998. Thank you for some great sporting memories, Jana.

May you rest in peace. :(

I remember that too. The fact she then came back to win it was a wonderful moment.

Really sad news. So young. Her crying on the shoulder of the duchess of Kent is an iconic Wimbledon memory. Remember watching it live and feeling so sorry for her. Glad that she managed to fulfil her dream. RIP Jana

Won a competition to play doubles with her in the mid 90's and had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours in her company. Very unassuming lady with a gentle, warming personality. RIP Jana. X
