It's not just Pascal Gross who's putting the miles in. From: PASCAL GROSS: THIS SUMMER’S BEST BARGAIN? here >>> https://whisp.rs/2himwqE

Pascal Groß has been remarkable for us, truelly magnificent.
As much as I like Dale Stephens, I think he's had to up his game somewhat in respect to the added competition / competitiveness for places in the team.

What competition exactly?

The impending return of Berem Kayal and hopefully Sidwell.

He hasn't been pushed in the slightest though has he, certainly wont be for at least another month or so by Kayal and Sidwell is no where near a return.

His improvement is down to the player himself, I still think we need extra cover in the middle brought in, in January. Then we might have some real competition for places.

Yes I agree, that's what I was trying to get across about DS, there WILL be competition, but he's having to up his game to the point of keeping his position, without the extra incentive of the 'impending competition'

Is nobody else concerned that we might struggle to keep this up for a whole season? Because I definitely am. Hopefully we'll get enough points on the board before the midfield burns out.
