Is this just a no mark politician trying to get a bit of attention for himself, you know, 'Look at me, I am campaigning on something'? All a bit Caroline Lucas perhaps.

Or is it really a genuine attempt to blame somebody else for Scouse kids being a bit lardy these days?

Madness going on again.
These kids with the alleged obesity will go and find a sugar fix somewhere else.

It is noticeable here that when a supermarket chain advertises on TV they always say, 'great savings on essentials' and then show money off fizzy drinks and chocolate, nothing off proper foods.

Given that the Liberal leader has stated 'That is why I am appalled that there is a rumour going round that you will welcome the Coca-Cola van to Liverpool.' he must be pleased given that in previous years it has been the Coca-Cola articulated truck that has rolled up to Liverpool, and therefore there will be far less cans to distribute from a van as opposed to the truck.

But yes lets ban Coca-Cola from Liverpool, and then these 11 year olds can enjoy Supermarket own brands Cola which may well contain more sugar than than Coca-Cola.

At the same time as banning Coca-Cola perhaps this enlightened Liberal would like to suggest banning Trick or Treat (to remove all those sweets from young mouths), and Christmas Advent Calendars (far too much chocolate) Christmas Chocolate stockings, all large tins of chocolates, Chocolate footballs, Terry's Chocolate Oranges, Christmas cake, birthday cake, in fact all cakes and sweets and fizzy drinks.

Then ban all mobile phones, games consoles, tablets, laptops, TVs to ensure that the children are not just sitting down with on exercise.

Ban all cars, so that everyone has to walk. Introduce mandatory 1 hour exercise classes on each school day and work day (for parents).

For those on benefits, all benefits to be removed from those who are deemed to be more than 5% over weight based on their gender, height and age.

He clearly isn't that serious and is just looking to get his name in the local paper
