Here's the full list, including Europe's other top four leagues.

The average transfer fee paid for the other players in that Premier League list is £27m. We really have grabbed ourselves a bargain!

Agreed. You can see why he created the most chances in the Bundesliga last season. Brilliant right foot he has and, as you say, at £3 million he is an absolute bargain

I count seven players ahead of him - how can he be in the top six?

But I agree with the basic premise, he's been an excellent acquisition and it's noticeable that all seven players above him had PL experience while he's been getting used to the pace of the game. I reckon he could well be in the top six in the next few months.

Indeed, he is not in the top 6. He's in the top 8.

He had run over 51 miles so far this season, before yesterday's game. Got the quality and the graft.
