Fairly obvious. No one with more than 2 brain cells would vote for a Marxist and terrorist sympathiser to be leader of the once respected Labour Party. Except marxists, socialists, communists and Islamists and silly naive lefty idealistic students oh and the workshy

And pray tell how this calculation has been made ?

The figures displayed have as much credence as if a 3 year old had coloured in the graph

Don't say I am not fair when it comes to my scepticism on such polls

Last poll I saw was neck-and-neck or perhaps rather it's just dumb-and-dumber.

If there was a 5th option of "I have no idea who I'll vote for, all the options are terrible at the moment" I think that would win a substantial majority.
People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.

I'd be interested to know how you measure political knowledge. Awareness of institutions and procedures? awareness of policies? knowledge of ideologies? Maybe if I need someone to distill the essentials of dialectical materialism or the works of Ayn Rand I should head for Chelmsford.

The heading on the poll says '' had a greater level of political knowledge ''.

It is almost impossible to measure someone's political knowledge. - You could be an ''A+ Economics Student but still not even know the names of more that 4 or 5 politicians.

So what would make someone politically knowledgeable?

Winning Pointless TV Quiz because you got a pointless answer on a question about Prime Ministers OR you knew no Prime Ministers but were a pure whizz on how Capitalism affects the Economics or Governments and finances around the globe ?

I think you are looking too much into what is just confirmation bias, but I agree. 'Political knowledge' means nothing without a definition, and I don't like its implication that someone who might not be interested in politics is stupid.

Oh, this one is a tad easier to answer. Pollsters get underlings to ring up, visit or have some other form of communication with members of the electorate. They ask them various questions -- in this instance, who are you voting (or who did you vote) for, and what is your highest qualification -- and then they collate the responses. How the other one is produced is more contentious.
