Amateurs behind the bar - rubbish beer - rubbish service - rubbish pub - Saturday night & tourist hotspot - go to the north lanes to some proper pubs !!!

It's correctly North Laine not the north lanes OR the northern laines

4.60 is expensive but probably not far off the going rate. Probably why drinking establishments turn in to restaurants and theme pubs. Beer choice and in particular IPA has improved in recent years. The Druids Head is OK for a quick pint, harmless establishment.

Is an alright pub. Decent enough boozer for central Brighton. On the subject of pubs in that area, went into The Walrus(formerly Smugglers) when I was back recently. What a transformation. Was expecting a young Kate Winslet and DiCaprio to wander down the stairs. A sports pub no more. Some interesting decor though.
