More travel advice please

It's my 20th wedding anniversary in mid November so as I surprise romantic break I want to book up a nice trip for Mrs Chopper.
I was watching Emmerdale and I was impressed with the beautiful countryside and the quaint villages so we are off to Skelmersdale.
I have heared that it is the 'pearl of the north'
Anyone been? What will the weather be like in November?
Any recommendations for 5* hotels, Michelin restaurants, country pubs, places to visit like a vineyard tour,would be very much appreciated.

If you were ever a fan of Heartbeat then Goathland is a must where it was filmed. Lovely area to drive round even if your not a fan. Whitby worth a visit for fish and chips....what ever you do don't go to Bridlington, what a shite hole....was there a couple of weeks ago.
