And we were happy to throw another 20 million at a striker..... which would have put as ahead of Bayern Munich...... staggering

Lovely measure of where NSC is at for this thread to only have had a couple of sensible responses so far...

The pessimistic bedwetting, handwringing, overly-entitled whinging on all the other threads is obviously far more fun but the truth is we have invested in improving our already decent squad to a literally incredible extent.

As per Easy 10's post just read the list again...

PSG, AC Milan, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Marseille, Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool, ....

Yup. Mindboggling.

Appreciate that as a promoted club we've had to spend to get a foothold in this division, whilst at the same time retaining our key players of value. But just seeing our name in there amongst those gilded clubs is a real double-take moment. I know we keep saying it, but bloody hell we've come a long way.

Except Bayern were merely 'topping up to an already very good squad.

Staggering nonetheless, especially for those of us doing the 'Buy a Player' walk along Hove to Brighton seafront when we didn't have a lot to piss in.
