Your ace from outta space - Really nice.. was lucky enough to be at the Essential Reggae day festival in Wild Park about 20 years ago. U Roy, Lee Perry, Gregory Issacs, Linton Kwesi Jonhson, Dub Syndicate, Roots Radics plus plus.....followed that up with a Augustus Pablo set at Brixton Academy a few months later. I completely get your fandom!!!

The thing ive always loved about Reggae stars is their complete naturalness, and normality. No airs and graces, and willing to talk. When we did dances in Brighton, half our sound were London based, and would travel down with random people who wanted to see what dances were like in Brighton, so there were always people you didnt know in the house. Before a dance one night, I was sitting and chatting with Bobby Melody for over an hour whilst we were getting ready to move speakers..had no clue it was Bobby Melody. I like that vibe.
