What's up with Sidwell?

I was sure he'd start today given that Propper didn't convince in his first outing and away from home we really should be looking to steel up in the middle of the park. He remains our most experienced Premier League performer, yet he's not even named on the bench.

Have I missed mention of an injury?

Would assume injured as very unlike us not to have a central midfield option on the bench

I agree with the OP - my personal gut feeling (not that it matters) would have been to start with Sidwell today, to give Davy Propper a bit more chance to bed in. Even more surprised he's not on the bench - guess he must be carrying a knock. Anyone know?

Would have been ten times better than Pröpper today. Any word on his omission yet?

I do hope it was precautionary over a knock otherwise I'm struggling to understand why he can't make a bench containing Skalak and Bong
