I have just been stung by this stealth monster. Didn't see it when snorkelling but felt a sharp pain the leg.

Hot water to kill the poison and gel to stop it spreading

Vinegar may work with some stings but pissing on it doesn't, although depending on severity of the sting, the pee may be involuntary.

Beer, taken orally, has been proven to work fine. The more of it the better you will feel.
