British Players!

Are British players good enough for OUR top league? Watching first 25 mins of Villa game and It occurred to me that Premier League is saturated with foreign players yet the Championship is probably more entertaining and competitive than our elite league! Is the fact we have so many foreign managers in Premier league doing our home grown players a disservice thus making the Championship more competitive than any other 2nd tier league in the world?

I've read the question several times and I still can't compute it.
