"The only place Albion fans can buy their tickets safely and with confidence is via seagullstickets.com. The club’s site will soon offer the only legal re-sale section for season-ticket holders, and these will only ever be resold at face value via the club's ticket line or website."

The club’s latest warning on ticket scams follows a number of complaints from concerned and disappointed supporters when tickets for the opening two away matches started to appear for re-sale on various unauthorised websites and on social media - after the club’s first two away matches in the Premier League were announced as sellouts.

"It is also disappointing that fans, with the necessary loyalty points, have purchased tickets and chosen to offer them for re-sale, and, in some cases, over and above the face value price rather than attend the match to support the team.

“It appears that these individuals have no intention of attending the match, and have bought tickets simply to profiteer, gain loyalty points, or both.

Plastic fans, the loyalty points should be on to who went to the Goldstone, Gillingham and Withdean also.

The plastic fan is making a mug out of the die hards.

In the words of Morrissey "Fair Enough".

I've seen that Everton are using Stubhub as their secondary ticket exchange, which could end up far more expensive.

Soon. Hopefully the club will start to offer this service more enthusiastically and earlier from this point forward. With only restricted tickets available for Man City at this point it should have been activated already. The club has a role in all of this too, not just having a pop at supporters and they need to step up.

This has nothing to do with our supporters re-selling tickets for away games though. Seems a bit surprising to me, I would hope its just a small handful. A couple of audits at early games should be able to weed this out quickly if they are serious about fixing it.

But, seemingly have enough points to buy away tickets. Maybe it's one or two of the die hards who are touting?

There are times when Barber can be a pompous, patronising ****

Which part of this quote, do you take issue with? I think he's absolutely spot on.

There were 200 Man City tickets left on Tuesday. The ticket exchange won't kick in until they're all sold.

Leicester went to all ST holders before selling out, I imagine they are located in this band.

If there are indeed Watford tickets on resale then that is an odd one considering it sold out on the morning of 188 points, so perhaps you're right.

How are they going to do that? Refuse entry to anyone who hasn't got photo id??

The fact that he feels the need to say anything at all. This is a problem right across the PL we all know about - he doesn't need to keep banging on about this and the fact that if we dared to give our season tickets to anyone else we would be hung, drawn and quartered and left to rot in the Tower of London.

Surely not.

Let's throw that book.

The club has seen Leicester and Watford tickets being touted on the internet, when the games are sold out. It is our fans who are touting them. What do you want Paul Barber to do? Ignore it? Apart from anything else, it's illegal.
