We used to call Gordon Greer "the Rolls" because he was a Rolls Royce of a defender
Greg Halford was "the Shadow" as he just had a silhouette when the players were introduced

CMS was the Afghan Hound and Rohan Ince is known as "Rohan Ince with those long legs of his" which is a direct rip off of when me & my mate used the same ending whenever referring to Carlton Palmer.
