Women cricket v football

Without wanting to sound like a Hark do you think women are a lot better at cricket than football? Watched England v Portugal last night, just seeing the women's cricket cos rain stopped play at Sussex. Seems that way to me.

It's a question of investment and take up. Both have improved significantly over the years as more have come into the game. This will gain further traction because of the wider coverage of female involvement in sport.

England is very much leading the way- which helps.

However, as a sobering thought, I will leave you with a comment from the BBC pages after England's victory in the cricket World Cup...

'.. can't see many people watching a standard women's county match. Its the same with paralympics to an extent, its very admirable but not sport in my view '

I'd like to see said keyboard warrior tell that to the face of one female cricketer I know- who isn't a 'rug muncher' by the way...
