Probably Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as a kid but Danny is the best book about fatherhood that I have ever read.

This is the my favourite.
This is a close 2nd. I remember my mum used to read this to me when I was a kid and could never finish a chapter with out breaking out in fits of laughter.
