They actually pay Danny Dyer to act and Nick Grimshaw for his music knowledge :shootself
The figures for Chris Evans are insulting, surely the BBC would've learnt a lesson when he had his tantrums on Radio 1, way back before going to Virgin!!

Jo Whiley is the only one, musically I consider worth the money.

Another stick to beat them with - despite all other rivals paying a lot more for equivalence. Some very high ones that stand out for me though - Charlie from Casualty £350-400K? Has he learnt how to act since I last watched it years ago? And people still give money to that evil witch Feltz?

A lot of that list is crazy, but this is criminal;

£350,000 – £399,999 Tess Daly – Presenter

Shocking waste of money.

But Evans gets nearly 10 million listeners - all things are relative I suppose and they needed to replace Wogan with someone who would keep the figures up. But then Ken Bruce is on an awful lot less for not many fewer listeners.

i'm astounded at some of these. I guessed Chris Evans was on about 500k and thought that was a lot for 3-4 hours "work" a day. I do listen to him but not convinced someone else couldn't do a nearly as good job and certainly for a lot less.

He also raises a lot for children in need however £2m is exceedingly excessive in my opinion

It does not include pay received through BBC Worldwide, the corporation's commercial arm or their earnings from other broadcasters/production companies or commercial activities.

e.g. Graham Norton for his chat show or the Top Gear presenters.

Interesting that Alex Jones earns more than double Jeremy Bowen..........

Says it all.....
Says to me that a lot more people are interested in the inane witterings of the One Show than the news. That is what it comes down to at the end of the day - all about the figures.

It's an enormous amount of dosh, which CE knows there is, no one at the moment to do that job, as you have said!
