Great start from Hamilton and also from Max Verstappen, who is already past Vettel into 3rd.

Safety Car deployed now though after a collision between Sainz and Kvyat.

Incredible overtaking by Verstappen.

I love watching him, such attacking racing and natural talent - I have no doubt he will be a multiple World Champion.

Him and Hamilton in identical cars would be superb to watch.

Brundle not well (hope he's ok), been taken to the medical unit, apart from that cars going around a track, nothing to report.

Silverstone has invoked a release clause so we my never have a British Grand Prix soon

I don't watch Grand Prix.

Question for those that do:
Are you cheering on Hamilton today?

The only F1 I experience is from listening to 5live sports news. From maybe the odd 30seconds I hear every couple of weeks I have concluded Mr Hamilton is not my cup of tea.

Yes.

Loving the close racing between Vettel and Verstappen as well though.

Why wouldn't a Brit cheer on Hamilton at the British Grand Prix? I have concluded that you may not be British

Some great racing from Vertsappen earlier on as he refused to be bullied by Vettel. Loved it. Also loved his comment about whether Vettel thought he was driving a dodgem/ banger racing

I am definitely British but if I'm not passionate about a sport I'm less likely to care if we get beat. I would have blindly cheered on all Brits as a kid...as an adult not always.

This has gone very dull.......although Hamilton suggesting his tyres are blistered is interesting.

So to sum up, someone overtook someone a few times and a few got a puncture and man who started in front ended in front. Loads of famous people got to have a free day out playing big I am's.

Really only suffer it as my son, for some reason, likes it.
