Very big decision to make. My trusted scarf, which joined me at the Amex all those years ago when my original one fell apart, needs a wash. The club gave me a shiny new scarf for my birthday last November but that has yet to be worn, so-
1/ Retire old scarf, unwashed, to my wall of fame. I can bring it back if needed.
2/ Wear old scarf unwashed this season. I'll take the credit for staying up.
3/ Wash old scarf and wear it, it's a new era. If we go down you'll take the blame.
And we're talking here about someone that does the same superstitious ritual for every home game.
